Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all those mothers who so deserve a day for them!
I made my Mum a card and sealed it up and mailed it off without taking a picture of it....grrr. It was really pretty too....lol. Anyway, I also made a card for my daughter-in-law to give to her mother. This is the card I made for Amy to give to her mom. My son Matthew is married to Amy...they have only been married 3 months.

This is another card I made for a special occasion that just might pop up. I hate being behind on birthdays, so I am trying to make some cards up ahead of time...so I can be ready to pop them in the mail on time.
These papers are from Graphic 45...I love these papers....this is the Secret Garden Collection. I love the colors and the graphics are just gorgeous.
We are having beautiful weather here today in Texas....and I plan to open my window...and enjoy my Arthaven....I am in a very crafty mood...and have so many wonderful ideas floating around in my head..
Hope your day is filled with happiness...

Challenge

In our ARTHaven group....Penny shared with us one of her SVG files and challenged us to make something with it. I took her up on this challenge and this is what I made....I had the best time working on this. My imagination was running away with me....I love it....I also used my new Distress Paints on the flowers...and love the effect it has on the flowers I used. I also used my Eclips to cut my svg file with.....a cutting machine I truly love.

Penny

My dear friend Penny Duncan.....and I own a group together.....Arthaven Creations and Friendships....we were in a swap together and she had my name....and was a wee bit late on the swap...and decided to totally surprise me with a bonus piece of art....and wow....I just love it. It has given me such awesome inspiration and I had to share this with my friends. The swap was to make tickets to use in our art....so Penny went and did this....and can you say " how awesome this is"? Penny makes her own flowers and has shared with us in our group how to do this as well. Now many of us are making our own flowers for our art. I have this displayed on my desk to admire many many times during the day.
Now to share our news with you.... Penny and I have decided to open our group up to new members....we love making new friends with the same passion as we have....and new inspiration and ideas.....so if you think you would enjoy making new friends and share art with one another...please join us. We have some awesome ladies in the group and we are looking forward to getting to know YOU.

A Creative Day for Me

Today was a very creative day for me. I had purchased three Anna Griffin embossing folders...and let me tell you....I was thrilled when I did find them. Since they aren't easy to find. I used one on the first card...and also used a file from Wanda Davis....this is how I came to have the rose border of the card. I then took the ribbon and ran it through my Ebosser and just was thrilled with they way it turned out. You can't see the detail as well as I can from the picture I took....but you can definitely see it is embossed.

Here I also used my Ebosser ( which I just love dearly ) and embossed this card with it also. I then took my SVG and ran it through my Ebosser also.....I think this card is very simple....but Springy. I added a little butterfly that I purchased from my very close friend Penny Duncan's Etsy Shop. I just love those butterflies.

These two cards are being mailed out this week and hopefully their recipients like what they get.

Wednesday Creations

I came into my Arthaven today...and sat down to some wonderful papers I received just this morning...My husband said..."Sweetie you have a package in your Arthaven....oh boy did I!!! I love these papers.... I went to work immediately. I created this card....and then with my new Envelope Punch Board I created an envelope to go with my card. I am loving this Envelop Punch Board....it makes the nicest envelopes...every size you can imagine. Now I have no reason to buy standard envelopes...I can coordinate them with my cards. On my envelope I didn't quite get the image to cover my area....but next time I will master this. I just love this way too much.
